the assembly process was so horrible that I returned it, and I did use the assembly video and it did absolutely nothing. attaching the arms to the chair was an experience that I never want to do again.

I purchased the pago ash chair today (didn't see any reviews to read but much later found them really-right-at-the-bottom of page) and eagerly unpacked it to assemble. It is very difficult to assemble and perhaps easier for young, strong male, (despite the video showing young woman) but I finally managed to assemble the base. The arms,however, would not "align and insert" or "push in". Even with a hammer and a variety of tools, after two hours I was no further progressed. I then (again with difficulty) found and read the reviews and discovered I was not alone: I don't think Arnold Schwarzenegger could accomplish this "simple task". I also found that the "simple tilting mechanism" doesn't seem to function as intended, either. With almost dislocated thumbs, I am returning the lot tomorrow and hope I can get a refund as it is not "fit for purpose": ie assembly and then use.

Assembling the arms is near impossible due to the most idiotic design choice I have seen in twenty years of putting together flat pack. You will need a mallet, two people and when we finally got the first arm in place, the hole in the arm wasn't flush with the whole in the back so the screwn would not thread in. First and last Pago product and will be returning for refund, suggest others avoid this plain dumb bit of engineering..
