Generally a comfortable chair. Lumbar support would be good.

Bought the cosmos to replace an old chair in my home office. Prevouisly I was standing up due to back pain throughout the day, even during Zooms. Now I can sit comfortably for longer periods and im really excited about it!

Before buying this one I visited a few local office furniture stores and tried out some of the premium higher cost chairs, but ultimately couldn't quite justify that price range. My first impressions of this chair when trying it in the store were great, the seat felt really nice with that thick firm squishy feel that a lot of the premium office chairs had - just this one and I think one other in store were the only two with a seat cushion that felt high quality to me. The back support felt like it offered good support and posture, I could adjust the tension of the synchro-tilt to how I liked it, and overall I was really impressed with the chair for the price point, and decided to pull the trigger on it. I've been using this chair now for around four months. I work from home at least two days a week, so am in this chair for around 8 hours a day 2-3 times a week. The back support is still great and I still feel like I am maintaining a good posture, my last office chair had lost all support in the mesh and I felt as though I was always sitting with a slumped, curved posture - not the case with this one so far. The quality of the mechanisms, armrests, wheel base etc. are really good and the chair still feels really solid. The seat however is a little disappointing - I am a larger male, around 185cm and 95kg, so still well inside the 130kg rating. And the seat now feels really hard, as though the foam does not have enough compressive strength and I can really feel the board underneath it. Because of this, I find myself constantly moving around the seat throughout the day trying to get comfortable which is a shame. I'm not sure if it is a case of deterioration due to poor quality, or if it is just not suited to my body for a full 8 hour use. Perhaps this may be due to the chair not having a lot of adjustment - horizontal adjustment of the seat cushion, which is a fairly common inclusion for chairs in this price range, might potentially alleviate this issue somewhat. If I had my time again I may have extended the budget and went with one of the more expensive chairs, but of course we can only ever make a purchase based on our initial impressions in store. So before buying this one I would recommend anyone to have a good think about whether they think the chair feels like they could spend a full day in it.
